Acer and Asus are supposed to be the first manufacturers out with an Ultrabook. Based on Intel's definition Ultrabooks are light, thin and powerful and priced under $1,000. The price point has been discussed a lot recently. In Italy now the Acer S3 Ultrabook leaked on a a shopping site for 786 Euro. Converted this is more than a $1,000, but prices never really are matched this way between Europe and the US. I am pretty sure that Ultrabooks will be selling below $1,000 this Holiday season.
Besides the price the Acer Ultrabook S3 sounds great. Intel Core i5, 320GB HDD, 20GB SSD and 13.3-inch screen. The kicker is though that the Acer Ultrabook S3 is only 13mm thin.
Via Notebook Italia.
