Facebook is supposed to announce the long rumored music related services at the Facebook F8 developer conference on September 22 according to Mashable. If the Facebook music platform will be named Vibes remains to be seen. The partners are supposed to include Spotify, Rdio and MOG.
Facebook reaction to the report is: "There's nothing new to announce." When Spotify launched in the US the rumors about a Facebook music service have been the loudest. The Facebook music service would need to offer something new compared to the basic integration that Spotify has already today. Joint listening or stuff like that.
