Google announced Ice Cream Sandwich earlier this year without giving too many details. The release time frame was specified with Q4. This Android release is supposed to unify the UI for smartphones and tablets. Beyond that not much is known. Leaked screenshots in August did not help much in grasping how big of a release Ice Cream Sandwich will be. In an interview with SalesForce CEO Mark Benioff, Eric Schmidt confirmed what is already rumored. Ice Cream Sandwich will be released in October / November time frame.
We heard that before, but it is good to hear from Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google. We still expect that the Nexus Prime will be the first device to run Ice Cream Sandwich. Via Droid-Life and ThisIsMyNext
