Ice Cream Sandwich Android Release in October / November says Eric Schmidt
Eric Schmidt talks about the Ice Cream Sandwich release in Salesforce Video interview.
Google announced Ice Cream Sandwich earlier this year without giving too many details. The release time frame was specified with Q4. This Android release is supposed to unify the UI for smartphones and tablets. Beyond that not much is known. Leakedscreenshots in August did not help much in grasping how big of a release Ice Cream Sandwich will be. In an interview with SalesForce CEO Mark Benioff, Eric Schmidt confirmed what is already rumored. Ice Cream Sandwich will be released in October / November time frame.
We heard that before, but it is good to hear from Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google. We still expect that the Nexus Prime will be the first device to run Ice Cream Sandwich. ViaDroid-Life and ThisIsMyNext

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
