We reported earlier today that Nike is hosting a big event tonight in LA. All points towards Nike unveiling self lacing sneakers based on the Nike Air Mag featured in the 80s Sci-Fi movie Back to the Future II with Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly. Michael J. Fox is actually a guest at the David Letterman Late Show tonight. He is supposed to announce the Nike Air Mag live during the show. This is very likely a must see TV moment.
A video uploaded by Doc Emmett (already viral) appeared as well showing shelves of 2011 Nike MAG shoes. Watch the Nike Air Mag teaser video below.
Nike has actually filed a patent last year for self lacing shoes.
If Michael J. Fox can wear the Nike Air Mag today, so can you.
