AOL seeks to Merge with Yahoo! according to new Rumor

Will there be an AOLhoo! soon? Yahoo! fired CEO Carol Bartz amidst high media attention and controversy. Nobody knows where Yahoo! is going from here. Bloomberg reports about one possibility. According to people familar with the matter AOL CEO Tim Armstrong is checking with advisers to Yahoo! about a possible merger.

Armstrong was supposedly already interested last year in a merger, but Bartz did not like the idea. Will Yahoo! consider a deal now? It is not that likely. Yahoo! is back in murky waters like back in 2008 when Microsoft wanted to buy the company.
