At this point it is pretty certain that Sprint will get the iPhone this fall. Several rumors have uncovered different aspects of Sprint preparing for the iPhone launch at the time the iPhone 5 will go on sale in October.
If Sprint gets the iPhone, they also of course get the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G or is it 4G? That is the big question. 9to5Mac reports today that the Sprint compatible iPad is ready. The new Sprint iPad is supposed different from the Verizon iPad, which makes it more likely that it actually supports WiMAX, Sprint's 4G network. This would be a big win for Sprint. On the other hand, Sprint is likely announcing to roll out LTE 4G as well, making WiMAX less important.
Let's think bold. How about Apple suprises with an LTE iPad this fall. LTE 4G is offered by Verizon, AT&T has it and Sprint is likely announcing it on October 7. For the iPhone the LTE market is considered still to small, but for the iPad it could be just right to get into the 4G game.
