The largest German Apple Store opened today in Hamburg at Jungfernstieg 12. Apple is not known to hand out any freebies or discounts at store openings. Still Bild reports that 2,000 Apple fans waited in front of the doors when it opened. The first guy (it is always a guy for some reason) in line was there since 5pm the day before. Apple actually ended up handing out 3,000 free T-Shirts.
I wonder how many people will line up at the Hamburg Apple Store when the iPhone 5 launches? I actually find myself very rarely in an Apple Store. The online Apple Store just works perfect for me. But I do walk through them if I pass one in a city I visit. Why? I actually don't know. I never buy something there.
The Apple Store in Hamburg at Jungfernstieg 12 has open from 9am-9pm and is only closed on Sunday.
