Google is supposed to first roll-out the new Ice Cream Sandwich Android update on the new Nexus Prime smartphone made by Samsung. The latest rumors based on a tweet from LTE Panda (via Droid-Life) says that Verizon will launch the Nexus Prime aka Droid Prime on November 3rd. Another Twitter leak comes from Tom Fleming claiming that the Nexus Prime will have GSM or WiMAX radios inside and the Nexus Prime will be available world-wide.
Verizon has skipped to offer the Galaxy S2 from Samsung. This was likely because Verizon is betting all on the Nexus Prime. Over at the Droid Guy is an description of what could be the Nexus Prime. According to the encounter with a mysterious Samsung guy the Nexus Prime looks similar to the Nexus S, but is taller and thicker. The Nexus Prime would feature a 8MP cmaera, 2MP front camera, NFC, HDMI, T.I. Dual-Core OMAP CPU and LTE. The real question is how will the Nexus Prime is going to stack up against the iPhone 5?
We still do not know if Ice Cream Sandwich will be offering any new dramatic features. The latest rumors suggest that Google postponed major new features to Jelly Bean Android release.
