Pantech Breakout 4G LTE Phone launches on Verizon

Verizon announced the Pantech Breakout 4G phone that is only $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. The new Android LTE phone will go on sale on September 22. Features include Android 2.3, 1Ghz CPU, 4-inch touch screen with 480x800px, 5MP camera, Wi-fi and 8GB pre-installed microSD card.

Breakout owners will have access to custom Pantech widgets and can share media files between Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)-enabled devices by using the Net Media app on their Pantech Breakout.

Given that you can get full powered 4G Android phones on Amazon Wireless for free these lower priced budget Android Phones actually are not really attractive. As reported on the weekend, Amazon Wireless is now even throwing in a free $50 gift card with Verizon smartphones (requires new line).
