In early August the HP TouchPad got featured on Woot for $379. Back then people thought that is a bargain. Two weeks later HP announced the end of the TouchPad and the $99 fire sale. Today another tablet is on sale on Woot. This time it is the Motorola Xoom Android Tablet. Will it follow the same fate? I guess not, but I am expecting to see lower prices later this year for the Xoom than what Woot offers today. On top of that Woot is offering refurbished units and not new ones for $349.99. This saves only $100 compared to the offer on Amazon.
The Motorola Xoom was the first HoneyComb Android tablet on the market. Motorola is expected to release very soon the Xoom 2 soon. We actually expect 16GB HoneyComb tablets to be on sale during Black Friday 2011 for under $300. For 32GB Android Tablets we expect $350 for brand new units during Black Friday. So forget about this Woot tablet deal.
Today might be a chance to get the $99 HP TouchPad on the HP Store, if the HP employees have left you any units yesterday.
