Samsung Plans to block iPhone 4S Sales in France and Italy
Samsung just announced that the company will file separate preliminary injunction motions in Paris, France and Milano, Italy on October 5 local time requesting the courts block the sale of Apple’s iPhone 4S in the respective markets.
We have reported before that Samsung is planing to go against the new iPhone once Apple is announcing it. Now this is really happening. Samsung announced today that they will file separate preliminary injunction motions in Paris, France and Milano, Italy on October 5 local time requesting the courts block the sale of Apple’s iPhone 4S in the respective markets. Samsung's preliminary injunction requests in France and Italy will each cite two patent infringements related to wireless telecommunications technology, specifically Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) standards for 3G mobile handsets.
The infringed technology is essential to the reliable functioning of telecom networks and devices and Samsung believes that Apple’s violation as being too severe and that the iPhone 4S should be barred from sales. Samsung says that Apple has continued to flagrantly violate our intellectual property rights and free ride on our technology. Samsung believe it is now necessary to take legal action to protect our innovation.
Samsung plans to file preliminary injunctions in other countries after further review.
With this move, Samsung declares now complete war on Apple. Of course Apple started the sales ban game. They got a sales ban on the Samsung Galaxy Tab in Germany. A sales ban or delay of the iPhone 4S is not acceptable for Apple by all means. Apple, what is your next move?

Peyton Manning Fined For Taunting D.J. Swearinger
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was fined $8,268 for taunting on Aug. 28. Manning got in Houston Texans safety D.J. Swearinger's face after the former converted on a 29-yard touchdown pass to Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders in the second quarter of their preseason game on Aug. 23.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
