Samsung just informed the press that the October 11 event is postponed (via Engadget). It was anticipated that Google and Samsung would unveil the first Ice Cream Sandwich Android phone known as Nexus Prime or Galaxy Nexus.
Samsung and Google say that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. Has this something to do with Steve Jobs passing? There is no date yet for Steve Jobs funeral, but it could well be early next week. Ice Cream Sandwich could also just not ready for prime time.
So I guess Samsung and Google well set another date for the Galaxy Nexus unveiling at the end of October.
Here are the leaked Galaxy Nexus Specs and the Galaxy Nexus Teaser Video.
