The iPhone 4S goes on sale officially on October 14. The iPhone 4S pre-order launched on October 7. Now reports on Macerkopf (via MacRumors) appear that the new iPhone 4S already shipped to some customers in Germany. This is even one day ahead of the iOS 5 launch. The iPhone 4S is of course shipping with iOS 5 pre-installed. Earlier we carried a report that the first benchmarks of the iPhone 4S already appeared as well.
Usually Apple tries everything to make sure the delivery of a new Apple gadget is on the release day and not earlier. The German Telekom and their delivery partners got things started early. They might have thought: "There is lot to do let's start now, else we never finish shipping all these iPhone 4S devices."
As reported yesterday, Apple has sold 1 million iPhone 4S in the first 24 hours of the pre-sale.
