Mike Lazaridis apologizes on Video for BlackBerry Outage, Service still not fully Recovered

The outage of BlackBerry service is still not completely fixed. RIM Founder and Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis saw it now necessary to address frustrated BlackBerry users around the world in a video message. You can watch it below. There is still not definite deadline when all services are back to normal. A Reuters report says that the the backlog of messages might be finally be cleared somewhen today. The services are supposed to be up and working, but the backlog of messages from the last four days needs to be still processed.

This is RIM's second largest outage. RIM chose a really bad timing for the outage. Just when the new iPhone 4S goes on sale. BlackBerry phones are seen to be behind the curve right now. If RIM is executing well they could be back with QNX based BlackBerry phones in 2012. I have my doubts though that QNX alone will save them.
