The DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) is bringing back the DMC-12 known from the Back to the Future movies as an electric car. DMC is working with electric-car startup Epic EV to put an all-electric DMC-12 into production by 2013. I still love the design of the DeLorean DMC-12. I could imagine to put a DMC-12 with electric drive in my garage. DMC is still working on getting their DeLorean New-Build program off the ground. We reported about their plans to release new Delorean DMC-12 cars back in 2007 the first time. I hope the plans for the electric DeLorean will work out for 2013.
In the images released by DMC, you can actually see that there will be some futuristic upgrades to this 80s car: an iPhone dock.
