Rumors about the iPad 3 having a retina display appeared over the summer. CNET has a new report up saying that Apple is facing production issues with the high resolution display. This is actually not new as we carried a similar report already back in August from Digitimes. So nothing new to learn here, besides that maybe the iPad 3 will not have a retina display, because it is just not technically possible right now to make such high density displays in the volume Apple needs them.
It could be that the iPad 3 will have other traits like LTE. It could also be that the iPad 3 will not launch in Spring of 2012 and that we will have to wait for it until Fall of 2012.
