Verizon opens the pre-order for possibly the hottest new Android phone right now. The Droid RAZR by Motorola LTE phone is super thin (7.1mm, there is one small thick part on top) and features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display. The new RAZR is made with KEVLAR fiber for strength and Corning Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance. Speed limits are just an illusion with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor and Verizon Wireless 4G LTE. DROID RAZR customers can expect to rip through the Web with speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G.
The Droid RAZR is not a bargain phone. You have to put down $299.99 and sign a new two-year contract. It is a pity that the RAZR does not come with Ice Cream Sandwich. Now early adopters need to ask themselves to either the get in early on ICS on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus or get what I think the cooler RAZR.
The pre-ordered RAZR units will ship no later than November 10 says Verizon. I do not see the RAZR listed yet on Amazon Wireless or Wirefly. Looks like you have to go to Verizon to get the RAZR first and you are not able to find any RAZR deals yet.
See also the Droid RAZR page on Verizon.
