Best Buy Mobile is bundling free Samsung Blu-ray player with smartphone sales. Beginning Sunday, November 13, through Saturday, November 19, if you purchase a Samsung Galaxy SII or Epic 4G Touch smartphone from Sprint for $199.99 (with a 2-year activation) you will get a Samsung BD-D5100 Blu-ray player (MSRP $89.99) at no additional cost.
"This is a great holiday offer for our customers and something that they just can't find anywhere else," said Scott Anderson, head of merchandising for Best Buy Mobile. "Through our partnership with Samsung and Sprint, we're able to bring the best of the smartphone and home theater categories together into one great deal."
Let's have a closer look if this is really a great deal. The Samsung BD-D5100 is indeed a $89 value when comparing prices on the web and Amazon. The Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch sell for the regular $199.99 price with new contract. The Samsung Epic Touch 4G is though for instance on sale at Amazon Wireless for $99.99. This means it is smarter to buy the phone on Amazon and if you like a close to free Blu-ray player than take the $100 you saved and go to the Walmart Black Friday 2011 Sale where you get a LG Blu-ray player for $49.
Best Buy has though other awesome deals available right now in the Best Buy Shop Early, Save Big Sale.
