I was supposed to actually hold in my hands by now an iPhone 5 with larger screen and new design. What I have got is an iPhone 4S that looks the same as the iPhone 4. Why? Business Insider has a new report up that is supposed to have the answer why we do not have an iPhone 5 by now. Tons of rumors ahead of the 2011 iPhone reveal were talking about a new iPhone 5 with stunning looks and larger screen.
Apparently Steve Jobs killed it last minute because he did not like the larger screen, because it would fragment the iPhone. Fragmentation is Apple's major argument against the Android phone camp. Apparently he did not want to risk losing this argument at this point.
The report also claims that Apple has built an iPhone 5 that looks somewhat like this. It had a larger and better quality screen and also a 10MP camera.
Either way. The iPhone 5 is now predicted to arrive in late 2012 with LTE on board.
