Intel released today the new Intel Core i7 3960X 6-Core CPU line along with the new Intel X79 chipset and yet another new socket with the LGA-2011. The first available Intel Core i7 3960X are the Core i7-3960X 3.3Ghz (3.9Ghz Turbo) Extreme Edition and Core i7-3930K 3.2Ghz (3.8Ghz Turbo).
The Intel Core i7-3960X 3.3Ghz Extreme Edition is the newest fastest desktop CPU on the market. NewEgg is already selling you the new Intel CPU for a cool $1,049.99. Do you need the world's fastest CPU in your desktop? Definitely not, but it gives you major bragging rights.
The other new Core i7 CPU, i7-3930K Sandy Bridge E CPU, is much more affordable and sells for $599.99 on NewEgg.
