If you have a Boxee set top box that you really like to use, but you want to be able to watch normal live TV as well this is for you. This is the perfect thing for Boxee users that don't have cable or satellite and want to route some live OTA TV stations locally to their set via the box as well.
The Live TV dongle will land in January, but it can be pre-ordered right now. The pre-order price is $49. Once the dongle is installed, you can watch your local network affiliates using the Boxee box. When you favorite network shows are, over you can then fire up your Hulu, Vimeo, or Netflix videos that you want to see and keep watching.
The Live TV dongle will not have a monthly fee associated with it. You will need an antenna of some sort to connect to the dongle via a coaxial cable. Since it uses coaxial cable, I assume it won't do HD resolutions. The Live service will be in the US and Canada only at first. It also offers no DVR functions.
