The first Tegra 3 (Kal-El, Quad-Core CPU) Android Tablet is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Amazon is not stating a shipping date yet, but it should arrive in December. Known previously by the codename "Project Kal-El," the Tegra 3 processor provides up to 3x the graphics performance of Tegra 2, and up to 61 percent lower power consumption. This translates into an industry-leading 12 hours of battery life for HD video playback. Features of Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime include besides the Tegra 3 CPU, 10.1-inch LED Backlit display with Super IPS+ (1,280x800px), 8MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, 18 hour battery life, 1GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage, Wi-Fi, G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Gyroscope, E-compass, GPS, and Android 3.2 (upgradable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).
Measurements of the Asus Transformer Prime are 263x180.8x8.3mm (tablet) and 263x180.8x10.4mm (keyboard). The Asus Transformer Prime tablet is actually 0.5mm thinner than the Apple iPad 2.
The Asus Transformer Prime 32GB sells for $499.99 and the 64GB model sells for $599.99. This is great pricing as for the 32GB iPad 2 you pay $100 more. You can use those savings to buy the Transformer Prime Keyboard dock Asus TF201 selling for $149.
