Target CEO is Happy with Black Friday Shopper Turnout

Target sees already record turnout for midnight Black Friday opening.

The Target Black Friday 2011 Sale has launched in stores at midnight. In an interview with the Star Tribune, Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel said: "It seemed like people were out in overwhelming numbers," Steinhafel said. "Numbers I have not seen in a long time."

This is still not an official assessment of the Black Friday shopper turnout and only based on the Bloomington Target Store where 300 more shoppers line-up than last year. As reported the NRA predicts with 152 million a higher number of Black Friday shoppers this Black Friday weekend than last year.

Judging from the photos of Black Friday 2011 Lines the Black Friday sales events are packed. I assume we will hear next week about the sales number for the Black Friday 2011 weekend.
