Microsoft has been in the peripheral business for a very long time. I can remember back when the Sidewinder game controllers were the stuff to have. Today the company leans more towards mice and keyboards for the average computer and notebook user. Microsoft's latest offerings are three new mice that are to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dragon.

Two of the mice are different color versions of the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 Year of the Dragon edition. One of the mice has a white background with a metallic red dragon design. The other is the same white mouse with a gold dragon design. The mice were created by artist Nod Young with inspiration from the Nine-Dragon Wall of Beihai Park and a popular cartoon called Dragon Ball.

The other special edition mouse is the Arc Touch Year of the Dragon. This is a high tech looking mouse with touch sensitive buttons designed by Lin Xu Pan. It uses a five-finger claw dragon that is traditionally for royal use only. Both of the 3500 mice are available now for $29.99 each and the Arc Touch dragon mouse is coming "soon" for $59.95.
