When CES kicks off in a few weeks there will be all sorts of new stuff unveiling for the first time. At the show a new networking solution for homes will be unveiled called WiPNET. The system installs quickly, replaces the normal cable TV wall outlet, and allows the delivery of Ethernet over Coax to create a fast and secure home network.

This sounds like a very interesting alternative to power line networking. Just about every room of most homes has a coax cable outlet. The device would allow for the shooting of internet connectivity, video, and a lot more around the home to any device connected.

The outlets would also allow you to connect a normal TV as well. The devices also connect to the existing wall outlet so there is no need to rewire a home, you simply replace the wall outlet and you are ready. The device also has a wireless network inside to add WiFi to each room of the home as well. Pricing and availability are unknown. I hope this doesn't cost too much.
