LG and luxury goods maker Prada are teaming up on a new Android smartphone that looks slick. The phone is called the Prada Phone by LG 3.0 and packs in Android Gingerbread as the OS and has 8GB of user memory. The phone will also have a line of Prada accessories available.
The smartphone has a 4.3-inch screen with WVGA 800 x 480 resolution and 800 nit brightness rating. The rear camera is 8MP and the phone has a 1GHz dual-core processor. The battery inside is 1540mAh. The phone is made to be more for style than performance with a thin 8.5mm depth and minimal hard keys for a clean and simple look.
The custom UI for the Prada phone is minimalist with black, grey and white colors only. It will do color for video and web surfing though. The phone has WiFi inside and Bluetooth. LG also says that the Prada phone will get the Android 4.0 ICS update. Pricing is unknown at this time as is availability.
