Thinking back to all the CES shows I visited, gaming was never one of the big things that were on display. You would see some gaming hardware and there were often some gaming demos for consoles and such. Generally, those demos were in the booth of hardware partners rather than a Nintendo booth for instance.
I just mentioned that the Wii U would be making an appearance at CES 2012. Nintendo will not have a booth at the show; they will presumably be in the booth of a partner. Sony will also be showing off the Vita at the show, at least that is the assumption.
With CES in January and the launch set for February for the Vita it would make since considering Sony is always on hand at the show. I think many gamers are curious to see how much interaction there is between the Vita and the PS3. We reckon that the Microsoft folks will be busy pushing entertainment since the Xbox is morphing into more than a console at this time.
