I am sure I am not the only one that has wondered how exactly RIM could go from the top of the smartphone heap to the massive bag of fail that it is known for today. According to one source that talked to BGR and claims to be a high-level employee at RIM, it seems the company is doomed. The source claims that Blackberry 10 will not be able to compete and will be a complete failure.
The source clams that RIM has been working on Playbook OS 2.0 and that it still has no email and no Blackberry Messenger support. The source went so far as to say, "Email and PIM [is better] on an 8700 than it is on BlackBerry 10."
The source also claims that the new BlackBerry 10 smartphones are not delayed because of problems getting LTE chips. According to the source, the phone is delayed because there is no working device. The most damning of the things the source told BGR is that RIM is betting its business on a platform and ecosystem that isn't as good as iPhone OS 1.0 or Android 2.0.
