If you are the owner of one of the Dell Streak 7 tablets that was discontinued not too long ago you may be sad to hear this. The company has officially announced via its DellCares twitter site that it has no plans to offer more updates for the Streak 7.
The question was asked on twitter and DellCares responded "Unfortunately, no plans to develop ICS for Streak7. See here if you are interested in unofficial version del.ly/6018RUTp -AB." The link in that post is to a video of a guy called DJ_Steve running an unofficial port.
The good thing about Android on any device is if the company that made your device stopped supporting it, you can still get updates thanks to the huge pool of developers that are working on mods and tweaks for just about every platform. An unofficial ICS port is the only way Streak 7 owners will see future updates.
