Bad news for Verizon users in some major areas this week. The network was down for an extended period yesterday for the third time this month. The outage affected both the 3G and 4G networks in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago.
"We are investigating reports of some customers experiencing trouble accessing the 4G LTE network," Verizon said in a statement issued to CNET. "The network itself continues to operate and all customers continue to be able to make calls, send text messages and utilize data services. 3G devices are operating normally."
Apparently the network is back up at this point. So far, we don’t know what caused the outage. If any of you are still having issues with accessing the network let us know.
