Acer has unveiled its new A700 tablet that will be getting official at CES 2012. The new tablet is also going to be shown alongside its smaller brother the A200. The A200 is a 10.1-inch tablet with a dual core 1GHz processor that is already shipping. The A700 is just being teased so far.
It packs the NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset inside at 1.3GHz that should compete well with the Transformer Prime performance wise. The tablet will have Android 4.0 update shortly after it launches, if it doesn't ship with 4.0 installed. It's not clear what the OS is at this time.
The screen is hinted to have a resolution of 1920 x 1200. Other features are said to include a 5MP camera, HDMI out, and battery life of 10 hours. The screen size isn't mentioned at the source, but presumably, it is 10.1-inches.
