HP has a new LCD for notebook users that is very cool called the L2311c 23-inch Notebook docking monitor. As the name implies the 23-inch display also acts as a notebook docking station giving the user a single USB 3.0 connection needed for a host of connectivity.
That USB 3.0 cable gets video connectivity for the display and allows the notebook user to access a four port USB 2.0 hub, HD webcam, a mic and audio inputs. The screen has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a brightness rating of 250cd/m2.
The contrast ratio is 1000:1 static and the response time is 5ms. The display also has VGA input and the HD webcam has dual microphones. The screen is coated in an anti-glare material. The display also has an Ethernet port integrated as well. The display will launch in February at $319.
