TomTom has announced a new update is coming soon for the iPhone and iPad navigation app that the firm announced a long time ago. The new update will be perfect for the users that have lots of friends on social networks that they meet up with. The update will be free to those that already own the app.
If you have a Facebook or Twitter pal that checks in or invites you to an event and you want to go meet them, the app will route you using the details from the post. That means you can drive from your location to the event or check-in easily with turn-by-turn directions.
The updated app will also allow you to get driving direction from test messages and emails as well. "According to recent studies, the vast majority of iPhone users use Facebook on their iPhone" says Corinne Vigreux, Managing Director Consumer at TomTom. "By integrating Facebook features into our TomTom App we make navigating to places, events and seeing friends even easier."
