Typically when we talk about a gaming desktop from Alienware we are talking about a big and bulky tower that will sit beside the desk. Alienware has a new machine that is designed to give the consoles a run for their money in the entertainment center called the X51.
The new X51 is a compact gaming machine that it sized more like a game console than a desktop, but still can be fitted with high-end hardware. The machine can be optioned with up to an Intel Core i7-2600 processor and a GeForce GTX 555 video card from NVIDIA.
The base configuration is a Core i3-2120 and a NVIDIA GT 545 video card. The machine has up to a 1TB HDD for storage and can be ordered with a Blu-ray player for movie watching as well. The little gaming machine is designed to be quiet and cool as well. Pricing on the X51 starts at $699 and goes up with options.
