Generally, the way we come by the statistics that have to do with the smartphone of mobile phone market it is by the installations of certain apps, particularly games. Such is the case with the latest numbers that come to us from OccasionlGamers data on game installs.
The data shows that when it comes to the Windows Phone second-generation handset market, Nokia has 45% of the market. HTC isn't far behind though with 40% and the next is Samsung with 12% of the market. The remainder with parts of the market is FujitsuToshiba, ZTE, and Acer.
I'm not surprised that Nokia has most of the market. It has had most of the interesting WinPo 7 devices that have launched like the Lumia 800 and 710 smartphones. Analysts are predicting that WinPo will grow significantly this year.
