Why are there no cats in Super Bowl ads? It is always the dogs. Ok. I admit it. I am a cat person. Some dogs though are very cute this year like Weego. We count four Super Bowl 2012 commercials that star dogs this year. All of them can be found pretty high up in the Super Bowl ad rankings. The Doritos Super Bowl 2012 Ad titled Man's Best Friend even won the traditional USA Today Ad Meter. It is a dog's world.

Watch all Super Bowl dog commercials below.

The 2012 Super Bowl Ads with Dogs:

  1. Volkswagen Super Bowl 2012 Ad - The Dog Strikes Back

  2. Skechers Super Bowl 2012 Ad - Go Run Mr. Quiggly!

  3. Doritos Super Bowl 2012 Ad - Man's Best Friend

  4. Bud Light Super Bowl 2012 Ad - Rescue Dog Weego

Besides dogs there are also other animals in the Super Bowl line-up including bugs, horses, Polar bears and a cheetah. The Cheetah is the closest to a cat I have seen in Super Bowl ads.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
