SwingHolder Adjustable iPad Stand Review

The SwingHolder is an articulating iPad stand that holds the tablet securely. It reminds me a lot of an adjustable microphone stand it has a range of travel 45° up and down in 270° left or right. The stand sells for right under $240 with shipping included and is available now.

In Use

The first time I saw the SwingHolder, I thought it was a weird iPad stand. I will admit it is a bit strange looking, but for some people that use the iPad a lot it may be the best stand out there. You can use this stand with your iPad for secondary monitor for your computer, for reading, for cooking recipes while in the kitchen, or just about anything else. The stand can adjust to get your iPad at comfortable level for use.

The stand is perfect for any situation where you need your hands-free to work on something else. For instance, my daughter loves to watch Netflix using the iPad while she plays. The problem is I always worry that she's going to leave it on the window sill or on her dresser and it will fall off and get broken. With the SwingHolder I can clip it in the stand and the heavy base gives me the security that she's not going to accidentally break and she can easily adjust it to whatever height is comfortable for what she's doing.

It's also nice to use this at my computer as well. I can open up things like e-mail or chat program on the tablet and keep it at eye level while I work on my main system. This stand with the iPad and Bluetooth wireless keyboard makes for a very nice secondary system for e-mail or other tasks. The one thing I will say about the stand is that it's not designed to be portable. You can carry it around the house with little problem, but you certainly will want to take this on the road. In all, this is one of the most versatile iPad stands I have tried and if the price doesn't scare you away, you'll like it to.

  • Lots of adjustability
  • Great versatility

  • Expensive
  • Bulky

This is possibly one of the best iPad stands around for people who need to use their tablet hands free in a variety of situations.
