No gap between tracks
If you're a fan of the Spotify streaming music service, keep an eye out for an update that adds two new features to your account. The new features should be very nice for people who like to listen to music constantly or like to have a little more control over their own tunes. The coolest of the new features is gapless playback.

Gapless playback is exactly what it sounds like, the user can playback multiple tracks with no gap at all between them. The tracks simply play one after another until your list is empty. Spotify says that this new feature is on by default and you can turn it off in the preferences menu. The other new feature is crossfade support.
Crossfade offers a button that allows you to fade one track out and fade another track in so you can play DJ. This feature is off by default and you have to turn it on in the preferences menu. The update will also bring faster artist browsing, a new save and restore feature for now playing titles, and drag-and-drop is fixed on Windows among other things. You will know when you get the update because your account will force you to reboot.
