iPad 3 rumored to have higher Price

A leaked price comparison table suggests that the new iPad 3 is up to $80 more expensive than the iPad 2.

It has gotten a bit quite in the last days around the iPad 3 as no new feature specific information surfaced. The iPad 3 is already pretty well described in the rumor realm and we do not expect any surprises. Now MacRumors reports that a sheet leaked in China on a micro bloggin site called Sina Weibo that, if legit, says that the iPad 3 is $70-$80 more expensive than the iPad 2.

I could actually imagine that Apple keeps the iPad 2 on the market and offers the iPad 3 with Retina Display as premium version. Similar to what Apple does with the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S. The iPad 2 is a great solid tablet. Apple could drop the price even a bit to put some pressure on the low-end tablet market.
