Microsoft will release the Windows 8 Consumer Preview today, Feb. 29. Microsoft is not calling this early Windows 8 release beta suggesting that this release is reasonable stable.
The Windows 8 Consumer Preview download is not available yet. Microsoft is expected to start offering the download after the presentation at the MWC 2012 taking place at 3pm in Barcelona. Microsoft had already released a Windows 8 Developer preview a while ago. What will have changed in the Windows 8 Consumer Preview is not clear yet.
The Windows 8 Consumer Preview download will be available on Microsoft.com somewhen today. We will update this post when the Windows 8 download is available.
