Grace DigitalAudio has unveiled a new waterproofboombox that will protect your smartphone or MP3 player while you're at the beach or pool and give you better sound. The device is called the Eco Terra and is IPX7 waterproof certified. It gets power from for C-cell batteries or an AC wall charger. It has a pair of three-inch forward firing speakers promising clear and clean sound in any position.
It has an internal waterproof storage compartment that holds keys, MP3 players, credit cards, cash, and anything else you can fit inside. The doors of the player are designed for a waterproof, tight seal yet to be easy to open. The boombox has a 1/8 inch waterproof headset port for private listening and it has carabineer clips to attach it places.
It ships with a carrying strap to make it easy to carry and the battery good for 25+ hours of music playback. The device sells for $149.99 and is available to purchase right now. This looks like an interesting device for the spring break trips that will be becoming up before you know it, it even floats.
