"The crime is part of a trend called ‘apple picking’ — street slang used to describe thefts of Apple products, such as iPhones, iPods and iPads, Cassell said. ‘They’re valuable; they are something that can be quickly sold,’ he said. ‘They’re lightweight, portable — you can run and hide with them. New iPad takes now Reasonable Photos

Vietnamese blog Tinhte still has the exclusive on a production iPad. After the new iPad unboxing and the new iPad Performance test they published sample photos taken with the new iPad. As expected the camera is now decent. On the other hand how many users will actually use the backside camera of the iPad? A tablet is an awkward way to take photos.

See the sample photos here. Via MacRumors.

I expect actually today or tomorrow the first new iPad reviews to appear published by the usual pundits. Tinhte managed to take away some of the thunder of their reviews by getting their hands on a retail new iPad days before launch.
