Ashton Kutcher is 500th Future Astronaut on Virgin Galactic

Richard Branson announced today on his blog that Virgin Galactic's 500th future astronaut customer has just signed up and it is Ashton Kutcher. What are the odds of a famous actor to be the 500th customer?

"I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself," said Richard Branson.

Below you can watch the latest promo video of Virgin Galactic. Richard Branson says that Virgin Galactic is guided by safety and will ensure that everything is just as safe as it can possibly be before we start commercial services. Branson will be on the first commercial flight with his kids. That is quite a statement. I do not think I would take my kids on the first flight.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
