It's not Saturday morning cartoons, but animated Angry Birds should be cool
Angry Birds developer Rovio has long said that it wants the Angry Birds franchise to be more than just video games. There's now a full line of toys for kids and pets, clothing, and more. Rovio has now announced that it intends to move the franchise into the animated realm.

This fall Rovio will launch an animated short form video series with 52 episodes spanning 2.5 to 3 minutes each. The animated episodes will be available on virtually every screen out there. The company says the movie based on the franchise has been ruled out until after 2014.
