Google Project Glass Promises us Augmented Reality Google Glasses [Video]
The Google Glass Project is aimed at making augmented reality eye glasses a mass market product. A video below demonstrates the vision for the Google Glasses. You would be able to see information about what you see and get updates from your smartphone without having to take the phone out. You would get navigation instructions right in front of your eyes. Navigation is a hot feature especially for delivery personnel on bikes and foot.
The Google Glasses are still in a very early stage. Google has now published some information to start the conversation and get consumer input. Sounds to me like this is really just a hobby of some Googlers, but maybe the crowd can make the glasses happen if they/we really want it.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
