New SSD for gamers

Kingston has announced a new SSD that comes in multiple capacities and is aimed at gamers and enthusiasts. The SSD is called the Kingston HyperX 3K and has a SandForce SF-2281 controller. The drive is a 2.5-inch unit and comes in capacities of 90 GB up to 480 GB.

Performance is impressive with sequential read/write throughputs of 555/510MB/s and max random R/W IOPS of 85k/74k. This SSD comes in an upgrade bundle kit for $10 more than the standard SSD price ranging from $139.99 up to $699.99.
