Analyst Predicts Discontinuation of 17-Inch MacBook Pro

If you've been thinking about buying a 17-inch MacBook Pro notebook computer, you may want to grab one pretty soon. One analyst is predicting that Apple may be getting ready to discontinue that notebook due to weak sales. The tip comes from an analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo, who has apparently been accurate in the past.

The prediction comes as we've been hearing rumors of updated MacBook notebooks getting ready to launch. At about $2,500 it's no surprise that the 17-inch MacBook Pro isn't selling well. If it is discontinued I wager only smaller screen MacBooks are offered going forward.
