Samsung offers the complete line-up of cellphone and unlike Apple is also making feature phones. Samsung has tremendous success with their Android phones and according to a researcher at Strategy Analytics, Samsung is now the overall largest global phone maker. This title was held by Nokia for the last 14 years. Nokia is in trouble though and has not yet found a way to compete on the smartphone front.
According to Strategy Analytics Samsung shipped 93.5 million phones in the 1st Quarter of 2012, a 36% increase compared to a year ago. Nokia shipped 82.7 million. Apple is in the third spot with 35.1 million iPhones.
