The thinnest DVR in all the land

EchoStar has announced what it claims to be the world's thinnest DVR. The digital video recorder is called the HDT-610R and it's the thinnest DVR in all the land. It's only 14 mm tall and still has enough capacity for 300 hours of TV with a 500 GB HDD.

The DVR also has dual tuners allow users to record run program on watching another. It supports Freeview+ HD channels and digital content. Both the BBC iPlayer and BoxOffice365 are supported. The box will hit pre-order tomorrow in the UK at an undisclosed price with shipments at the end of the month.
