Toyota has officially unveiled the new RAV4 EV. The automaker brags that the new EV went from R&D to production in 22 months. Toyota says the EV has cargo capacity, dynamics, and performance equal to or better than the gas powered V6 version of the vehicle. The car will cost a whopping $49,800 when it reaches dealers.
That makes it much more expensive than a standard RAV4. The EV version will go 0 to 60 in 7 seconds and has a maximum speed of 100 mph in sport mode. Normal mode reduces the performance significantly. The maximum output from the drive train is 154 HP at 2800 RPM. The car promises a 100 mile driving range on a full charge and six hours to recharge from a 240 V outlet.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
