EV promises 100 miles per charge
Toyota has officially unveiled the new RAV4 EV. The automaker brags that the new EV went from R&D to production in 22 months. That makes it much more expensive than a standard RAV4. The EV version will go 0 to 60 in 7 seconds and has a maximum speed of 100 mph in sport mode. Normal mode reduces the performance significantly. The maximum output from the drive train is 154 HP at 2800 RPM. The car promises a 100 mile driving range on a full charge and six hours to recharge from a 240 V outlet.
